New Lead Paediatric Nurse Appointed at RACH
The ScotCRN are delighted to announce the appointment of Maggie Connon as Lead Paediatric Research Nurse for the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital in Aberdeen.
Maggie is already a familiar face in the Aberdeen paediatric research community having spent the last ten years working as a Children's Oncology Research Nurse at RACH, looking after a wide portfolio of studies. She has managed Phase 2, Phase 3 and Commercial Studies, including numerous pharmacokinetic studies.
Maggie was also involved in setting up and managing the CCLG Tissue Bank- a bank for samples of childhood tumours, and the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research Cell Bank. Alongside this Maggie also worked as a Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nurse, supporting children, young people and families in the community from the point of diagnosis.
In her spare time Maggie is a keen runner, regluarly competing in ultra marathons and coaching for her local running club.
